Egypt
Zack's Table is known for its huge table corals, about four metres in diameter. There are also huge lettuce corals.
A sandy bottom surrounded by seagrass holds a forest of table corals, with a good chance of seeing turtles, stingrays and frogfish. There are plenty of groupers, damsels, lionfish, anthias and anemonefish, and a giant frogfish has been seen there.
At the Taba sites, glassfish form clouds so dense that they can hide the coral, and they appear at almost every site in the area. In the north of the gulf, the water tends to cool from December to March, and at that time it is common to add a hood or vest to a 5 mm wetsuit.
