Offshore rocky ridge 8.5 km from Hout Bay harbour on the Cape Atlantic. Maximum 33m at the western end, ridge top at 12m. Colourful sponges, false corals, anemones, basket stars and brittle stars cover the vertical faces; kelp on top and urchins on the crest. Seasonal upwellings driven by SE wind.
