Sharm El Sheikh, South Sinai, Egypt
White Knights takes its name from a series of pale coral pinnacles ('the knights') rising from a sandy plateau between 20 and 30 metres south of Ras Nasrani. The reef wall on the inshore side is gentle and dressed in hard corals, while the offshore side drops steeply. The pinnacles are surrounded by clouds of anthias and damselfish and are excellent for macro work — leaf fish, scorpionfish, blue-spotted ribbontail rays and the occasional stonefish are regular. Turtles, snapper schools and Napoleon wrasses cruise the area; in summer, hammerheads occasionally pass on the offshore drop. The dive is typically run as a drift south, finishing at Far Garden. Currents are usually moderate. Visibility 25 metres typical.
