Maldives
On the corner of the reef, near the end of the island where the spa is, there is a big overhang. Dhaalu Atoll appears to have more caves and overhangs than other atolls. In July 2016, the opening of the St. Regis Maldives Vommuli resort, on the island, was announced for 1 September. In the region, there is a reef restoration effort in which fragments of Acropora digitifera coral are fixed onto frames. Conditions around Vommuli are usually good all year, with water between 27 °C and 29 °C.
