Maldives
Whitetip reef sharks patrol the outer edge of the reef. Near the ocean villas there are moray eels, stingrays, a green sea turtle, shoals of blue-and-yellow angelfish, oriental sweetlips and clown fish. The reef suffered far less from coral bleaching than its neighbours, and large parts of it remained alive. In the region, between May and December, there is a chance of seeing whale sharks on trips from the resort.
