Maldives
Along the line of caves there are blue, green and yellow soft corals, and inside them live soldierfish, turtles and unicornfish. Outside, whitetip sharks and tuna pass in the blue, and eagle rays glide over the reef. The walls are decorated with feathery soft corals, brightly coloured hard corals, sea fans, large gorgonians and whip corals. In a 2018 scientific survey, live hard coral cover at Vaadhoo Caves was 22.6%.
