The USAT Liberty in Tulamben is Bali's most popular wreck dive and one of the most accessible in the world. This American troop transport from World War II was torpedoed by a Japanese submarine in 1942 and rested on the beach for decades until pushed into the sea by Mount Agung volcano in 1963. The 120m hull is densely covered with soft and hard corals and abundant marine life.
