A flat and extensive coral garden off Playa del Carmen, named for the hawksbill turtles that inhabit the site, with depths between 13 and 35 meters and moderate currents. The reef covers about 1 km² filled with large brown barrel sponges, eagle rays, barracudas and seasonal sightings of bull sharks in winter.
