At the Torombi pinnacles there are barracudas, rays, lionfish, thousands of small reef fish and, occasionally, a turtle. In the summer months, a school of barracuda usually meets divers under the boat.
Torombi Bay is visited by resident dugongs, and there is a chance to find sea slugs, crocodilefish and stonefish in it. Torombi is a suitable night mooring and a good site for night dives, but most boats are only in transit and do not dive there at night.
