Maldives
Schools of snappers, trevallies and fusiliers are often seen, along with patrolling white tip reef sharks. Stingrays, turtles, scorpionfish and leaf fish hiding in the reef can also be seen, and a group of batfish often appears. In Dhaalu, the northeast monsoon, from November to April, is usually cited as the best time to dive, with calmer seas. In the region, from May to October, during the southwest monsoon, the chance of seeing manta rays and pelagic fish tends to be higher.
