It is a site with plenty to offer macro photographers. In Dhivehi, "giri" means an underwater pillar close to the surface, the formation of this site. In Meemu you can dive all year round, but conditions tend to be best in the dry season, from December to April, with little wind, little rain and very clear water. Around June the sea in Meemu is sometimes too rough for boats, so it is worth checking with the dive operator.
