The Cauldron (O Caldeirão), also called Shotgun, is the most adrenaline-pumping drift dive in Komodo National Park, located between Gili Lawa Laut and Gili Lawa Darat. The tidal current deposits divers into a circular basin 30 m in diameter sculpted by the tides, before firing them—like a shotgun—through a narrow passage to the south side, where coral walls, gorgonians and sponges await in a dramatic canyon.
