Maldives
The site lies on a long faru south of Feeali; faru is the Dhivehi term for a reef edge that breaks the surface and encloses a lagoon. The overhangs and caves are covered in soft corals, sponges, black corals and gorgonians, and shelter nudibranchs, crabs, shrimp, morays and many juveniles. Turtles are almost always present. In Faafu Atoll, the good season usually runs from October to March, and the monsoon usually falls from around April to November.
