El Nido, Palawan, Philippines
El Nido's most famous site, on the southeast tip of Miniloc Island at the crossroads of three currents - nicknamed 'The Mall' for the crowd of fish. Giant cabbage coral heads inhabited by yellow snappers and schools of jacks, barracuda and tuna ring the triangular reef at 12m depth. Strong currents (with up to 40m of reach) concentrate pelagic life and call for experienced divers.
