Siaba Besar is nicknamed the "Turtle City" of Komodo National Park: it is common to spot dozens of green sea turtles (Chelonia mydas) in a single dive, resting on coral heads or grazing on the sandy bottom of the sheltered bay. With moderate currents and a maximum depth of 22 m, it is one of the few sites in the park accessible to divers of all levels.
