Egypt
Sharm Tachtani is a relatively large bay.
After rounding the corner of the reef, the plateau can bring encounters with eagle rays, giant rays of the family Dasyatidae and schools of barracuda, and green turtles are seen often. On an outing with two dives at the site, the first showed a very beautiful coral landscape, and the second a stretch with thousands of glassfish and many shrimp.
In the El Quseir region, sightings of larger animals tend to increase considerably between May and November, and September tends to be the best month to see sharks and manta rays. Along this coast diving is possible all year round; the best time tends to be from April to October, and autumn is especially recommended.
