Shaab Rur Umm Gamar is the outer southern reef of Umm Gamar Island north of Hurghada, with a wall between 5 and 30 m exposed to moderate to strong currents. The site records occasional oceanic whitetip shark sightings during summer and is home to large schools of yellowfin trevally and giant barracuda.
