Near the pier, reef sharks, stingrays and even eagle rays sometimes pass by. Rasdhoo, the island of the port, is the capital of the Alif Alif Atoll administrative division and the only inhabited island of a small natural atoll known as Rasdhoo, Rasdu or Ross Atoll.
