Egypt
The mooring is in a natural lagoon, at the northern end of a large bay, where a sand strip separates the main reef from a series of coral beds. A small hole in the top of the reef leads to a small cave, and to the south there is a huge block covered in soft corals in the shape of a mushroom. To the north there is a coral garden, and the reef has beautiful hard corals.
Pufferfish and goatfish live on the sand strip. Further south, you may spot a turtle or two. On the way back, an undamaged table coral hosts the secretive lemon coral goby.
