Maldives
The Rakeedhoo Corner area is known for various species of rays and sharks, depending on the season, and for many reef fish. In a cavity there is white soft coral.
Rakeedhoo Kandu was one of the sites surveyed during scientific cruises in the Maldives, with a survey in 2002. In Dhivehi, 'kandu' means channel, a term in the alternative name Rakeedhoo Kandu.
