The top of the reef is completely covered in hard corals.
There are black corals in abundance, with giant winged pearl oysters, Cock's comb oysters and black coral shrimps among the branches, and lobsters in the small crevices. Hammerhead sharks have been seen at the site.
In the atoll, the best season to see mantas usually runs from October to January.
