Brazil
Quebramar Sul is a 920 m breakwater, with one end on land and the other at sea, which together with the north breakwater shields the berths of the Port of Salvador from the sea. The new Port of Salvador began commercial operations on 13 May 1913. You can dive on the outer side of the breakwater, over a sandy bottom, or on the inner side, which is more sheltered and has a muddy bottom. In Salvador it is usually possible to dive all year round, although in winter the options tend to shrink because of bad weather.
