Ecuador
Punta Vicente Roca lies on the northwestern tip of Isabela Island, near the Ecuador volcano, and is one of the few places in the world with reliable Mola mola (sunfish) sightings on recreational dives. The vertical wall runs from 5 to 27m and shelters Pacific seahorses, red-lipped batfish, octopuses, nudibranchs, frogfish and the endemic camotillo. Cold currents are the norm and an intense thermocline is frequent.
