Punta Carrión, at the northeast tip of Santa Cruz, is a double dive: the inner part of the Itabaca Channel has a calm sandy-rocky bottom at 12–14m, and the current-exposed outer throat concentrates Galápagos sharks, blacktips and pelagic species. Whitetip reef sharks, rays, turtles and sea lions are guaranteed. Good entry-level site for those starting in Galápagos.
