At Praia do Remanso, the rocks form small natural pools, and the sand is monazitic and yellowish. The left side of the beach is calm, while the right side has rough sea. In Praça da Baleia, in Costa Azul, stands the 22-metre bronze sculpture "Baleia Jubarte e o mergulhador", created in 2001 by Roberto de Sá with Clara Arthaud.
