Brazil
Praia do Félix, in northern Ubatuba, has two very different sides: the left corner has waves and draws surfers, while the right corner has calm, clear water and forms a natural pool, where people dive. The beach also has a natural lookout set in the Atlantic Forest. In a ranking based on 2024 traveler reviews of more than 2,000 Brazilian beaches, it was the top-ranked beach in the state of São Paulo.
The beach lies close to the islands of Prumirim, Porcos and Couves, and speedboat and boat trips to those islands leave from it. In Ubatuba, summer is usually the best time to dive, with warmer water. Praia do Félix is among the areas of Ubatuba at high or very high risk of erosion.
