Portinho, at Laje de Santos, is where the park's mooring lines are, and in a single stretch the relief is smooth and steep down to the sandy bottom. There are remains of the fishing boat São Judas Tadeu, which sank in the late 1980s in a collision caused by poor visibility on a night of thick fog: metal boxes, an acetylene cylinder, part of the engine and the rudder. Between June and August manta rays can be seen, as at that time of year they tend to pass through the park's waters.
