Brazil
The site is recognised by a huge black rock split vertically, which serves as a landmark for finding it. The name of Ilha Montão de Trigo, given by the Portuguese, comes from its mound-like shape, which resembles a heap of wheat and can be seen from the mainland. In the region, the best time to dive tends to be summer, when the water is warmer, but there are good dives all year round.
