Brazil
The Farol de Pitimbu natural pools only appear on low-tide days and are pointed to as an alternative to the natural pools of the Brazilian Northeast that are already crowded. Fishermen who leave from Pitimbu Beach take visitors to the pools and cook lunch on board.
In the pools you can see fish of different species and, with luck, various other marine animals. In the Pitimbu area, the lucky ones may come across a lobster or even a manatee. In Pitimbu, visiting is usually most recommended between August and March.
