Despite its intimidating name, Papa Gente usually has calm waters, with corals and natural pools. Two natural pools with tranquil waters form there for watching fish and reefs. At Praia do Forte, the natural pools are reached on foot from the sand, without needing a boat.
Among the corals of Papa Gente you can see colourful fish, turtles and crabs. The pools tend to appear at low tide, so it is worth planning the visit using the tide table.
