The natural pools of Praia da Conceição form at low tide, between the rocky shores, next to the rocks at the right-hand end of the beach. In them you can observe the marine biodiversity of Bombinhas, with a great diversity of fish, and stingrays sometimes appear swimming by.
The beach is bounded by Ilhota de Canto Grande, and on the other side lies Morro do Macaco. At the southern end of the beach stands a rock called Vigia da Conceição, a natural lookout with a view of the region.
