As at Umm Gamar, North Abu Ramada has a "halg" (Arabic for "neck") on its east side. Beneath the edge of the plateau there is a chimney. There are many gorgonians, and the coral garden on the plateau is full of life.
Over the plateau, schooling giant barracuda, bigeye trevally and yellowfin tuna hunt fusiliers, and eagle rays pass by in squadrons of up to twelve. Moray eels, groupers and lionfish shelter in the large coral formations, and lionfish and groupers stake out glassfish in the cavities. Bannerfish and bluespotted stingrays also live there. With a bit of luck, you may encounter a shark, so keep looking into the blue.
