Maldives
Hard and soft corals cover the wall at all levels. Sharks, schooling fusiliers, batfish, snappers, mantis shrimp, octopus, lobsters and many rays are often seen. At the base there is a sequence of large overhangs and caverns to explore. In Haa Alifu, the sea usually calms down at the start of December and stays that way until May, before the monsoon.
