Mulaku Atoll, Maldives
Miyaru Thila, in Vaavu Atoll, is a submerged pinnacle adjacent to the Miyaru Kandu channel with the top at 12m and flanks down to 30m. Soft corals cover the walls; whitetip reef sharks and morays inhabit the cracks; during strong currents, grey reef sharks rise from the channel to the pinnacle. Strong current, advanced level.
