Sharm El Sheikh, South Sinai, Egypt
Middle Garden is the central of three coral gardens in Sharm bay, sandwiched between Far and Near Garden. The site features a sloping reef of hard coral patches and sand patches descending from 5 metres to a sandy bottom at 22–25 metres. The shallow profile and consistently weak currents make it one of the most popular sites for Open Water training and night dives. Macro and reef life are abundant — anthias clouds, parrotfish, butterflyfish, mantis shrimp, octopus, lionfish and Spanish dancers at night. Pufferfish, Napoleon wrasses and turtles wander through. Visibility 20–25 metres. A reliable warm-up before the more demanding Tiran or Ras Mohammed dives.
