The waters of Huvadhoo are home to up to 13 shark species, among them grey reef sharks, whale sharks, nurse sharks and spinner sharks. In the region, the best season for sharks usually runs from January to April. In general, in Huvadhoo the best time to dive is usually the northeast monsoon, from January to May.
