Maldives
Bigeye barracuda school above the coral gardens, bigeye trevally hunt along the transition to the wall, batfish shelter in the calmer areas and thresher sharks pass along the wall, with the best chance at dawn. The site lies between two active channels and catches the flow of marine life moving between the northeast and northwest coasts of Fuvahmulah. It has the most extensive coral gardens of the three north-coast sites and is often dived in a rotation with Neregando and Genmiskiy Fanno. Diving is usually possible all year, since the north coast is accessible in most conditions; coral colour tends to be best in the dry season. Mid-morning is usually recommended for the light on the coral gardens, and dawn for those looking for pelagics on the wall.
