North Ari Atoll, Maldives
Maya Thila, in North Ari Atoll, is a submerged pinnacle with characteristics similar to the famous Maaya Thila — walls covered in soft corals, top at 8-12m and flanks at 30m. Whitetip reef sharks are permanent residents; schools of fusiliers and snappers surround the pinnacle. Moderate to strong current.
