Mauan (local variant of Mawan) is a dive site in the center of Komodo National Park, centered on cleaning stations for reef manta rays (Mobula alfredi) at approximately 10 m depth. The shallow coral slope and moderate currents allow divers of all levels—including Open Water—to observe manta rays up close, with peak sightings from October to March.
