Mashraba lies off the old Nabatean harbour of Dahab. Near the entry point, a bridge spans the dry bed of a wadi; every few years, rain makes the river run and carries tons of sediment into the bay, and the corals recover from this natural event. In the seagrass before the bridge there is an underwater statue park, and the sandy slope leads to the Roman's Rock pinnacle; there is also a small swim-through between pinnacles. On the route south you pass a family of table coral, a large gorgonian fan and a pinnacle swarming with glass fish and anthias.
