Marsa Abu Galawa is a sheltered lagoon north of Hurghada with a wind-protected fringing reef, ideal for snorkeling and certification diving. The shallow lagoon of 2–8 m gives access to an outer platform down to 20 m with well-preserved hard corals and occasional dugong visits in the seagrass area.
