Mandarin Valley in Kapalai is a shallow coral sanctuary from 8 to 20 metres famous for the spectacle of mandarin fish that emerge from the staghorn coral reef at dusk for their mating ritual. Exceptional visibility of up to 35 metres and the abundance of macro life make this site an absolute favourite among underwater photographers.
