Maldives
Maldives Victory Wreck, in North Male Atoll, is the largest and most famous wreck of the Maldives — an 83m cargo ship sunk on February 13, 1981 after striking the reef near the airport. It rests upright at 35m with the mast at 12m and the bridge at 18m; covered in vibrant corals and sponges, inhabited by Napoleon wrasses, barracudas and morays. Protected as a marine reserve since 2021. Intermediate to advanced level.
