The southern tip of Sirnaka island is a safe, calm anchorage where cruise boats spend the night. On the southwest side of the reef lies the wreck of a fishing trawler, the Il Kamash.
On the reef wall, small jagged pillars shelter large potato groupers under their overhangs. Further east there is a broad plateau, where corals and fish are scarce on both the walls and the bottom.
The island is uninhabited, and petrified corals on land show that it once lay below sea level. Sea eagles build large nests on Sirnaka island. Identified underwater photos from Sernaka island show hard corals: brain coral (Platygyra), Pocillopora verrucosa and Stylophora pistillata.
