Maaya Thila, in North Ari Atoll (Alifu Alifu), is one of the most iconic submerged pinnacles of the Maldives — an official marine reserve with the top at 6m and dropping to 33m. Classic for night dives with dozens of whitetip reef sharks actively hunting, plus grey reef sharks and barracudas. Strong and variable current requires advanced level; visibility 20-30m.
