Maamendhoo Giri has plenty of macro life and animals that live on the reef, with butterflyfish swimming nonchalantly past and turtles munching on the coral. Among the large table coral formations there are schools of colourful parrotfish and turtles. It is a good night dive location, when the reef comes alive with nocturnal creatures. Diving at the site is usually possible year-round.
