León Dormido (Kicker Rock) is the natural monument of San Cristóbal — two 148m volcanic tuff towers with a narrow channel between them where divers drift among hammerhead sharks, Galápagos sharks, eagle rays and sea turtles. The Spanish name evokes a sleeping lion; the English one recalls the shape of a boot. Light to moderate currents, excellent visibility in the dry season.
