Brazil
Despite its name, Lagoa Azul is not a lagoon: the nickname came from the 1980s film 'The Blue Lagoon', starring Brooke Shields, because of the bluish colour of the water on sunny days. The seabed is covered with corals and sponges, home to parrotfish, sea urchins and starfish. The site also has coral gardens and colourful schools of fish. There are also schools of sargentinhos that are used to people's presence.
