Maldives
The site lies next to Manadhoo, an island inhabited by local residents and the capital of Noonu Atoll. Fish life is very rich, with humphead and blue-fin snappers, oriental sweetlips and thousands of fusiliers, and turtles and moray eels are seen frequently.
During the manta season, manta rays tend to use the site as a cleaning station, and it is possible to see them up close. In Noonu Atoll, the best time for manta rays tends to be from June to October.
In the region, it is usually possible to dive in Noonu Atoll throughout the year, considering currents, visibility and large species.
