Maldives
At the top of the reef there is an anemone garden and a good mix of hard and soft corals. Further down there is a swim-through that is home to lobsters and large groupers. The thila has impressive overhangs. It is a spot where you can expect to see a ballet of eagle rays.
On the snorkeling reef of Kunnamalei island, the reef is patchy, with sections of soft leather coral garden and large boulder corals that provide habitat for plenty of marine life. Resident hawksbill turtles can be seen eating sponges or sleeping under a secluded rock. Rays can also be spotted there on the top of the reef or in the blue. This snorkeling spot is called "Hawksbill Heaven", and devil rays are usually seen there at a certain time of year.
